Terms of Service

Effective 2026-07-27

These terms govern your use of the Maccabi Plumbing & Heating website and the plumbing and heating services described on it. Please read them before you use the site or hire us. We have kept the language plain so you know where you stand. If you have a question about anything here, call (908) 376-9159 or email Office@MaccabiPlumbing.com.

Agreement to Terms

By using this website or engaging Maccabi Plumbing & Heating for services, you agree to these terms. We operate as a licensed sole proprietorship under the trade name Maccabi Plumbing & Heating. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the site or book our services.

These terms, together with any written estimate, invoice, or scope of work we give you for a specific job, form the agreement between us. Where a written estimate or invoice says something different from this page for your particular job, the estimate or invoice controls for that job.

Description of Services

We provide plumbing and heating repair and installation for residential and commercial customers across northern New Jersey. Our work includes water heaters, boilers (including steam and hydronic systems), drains, sewer lines, sump and ejector pumps, gas leak detection, backflow prevention and certification, kitchen and bathroom plumbing, leak detection, repiping, excavation, maintenance contracts, and 24-hour emergency service (Monday to Saturday. Closed Sunday). All work is performed by or under a licensed NJ Master Plumber (License #13345), and we are bonded and insured.

We serve homeowners, landlords, property managers, and commercial clients across Essex, Passaic, Morris, Bergen, and Union counties. The exact services available for any job depend on the property, the equipment, and the conditions we find on site. Nothing on this website is a promise that a specific service is suitable for your situation. That is confirmed when we assess the job.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to engage our services or enter into an agreement with us. By requesting work, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you are authorized to approve work at the property in question.

Quotes, Pricing & Payment

Quotes are estimates based on the information you give us and the site conditions known at the time. The final cost may change if the scope of work, the parts needed, or the conditions we find on site differ from what was expected. When that happens, we tell you before we continue.

Quotes are valid for 30 days unless we state otherwise. Emergency and after-hours work may carry a premium. A trip or diagnostic fee may apply, and we will disclose it before work begins. Payment is due on completion of the work unless we agree otherwise in writing.

If we find that extra work is needed once we have opened up a wall, floor, fixture, or pipe run, we stop and get your approval before continuing. You are charged only for work you have approved. Where a job is billed by the hour or by materials used, we keep you informed as costs add up rather than presenting a surprise at the end.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call (908) 376-9159 or email Office@MaccabiPlumbing.com as early as you can. We ask for reasonable notice so we can offer the slot to another customer. For any question about a deposit or the specifics of your job, call us and we will explain how it works before any work is confirmed.

Customer Responsibilities

To let us do the job safely and on time, you agree to

  • give us safe and reasonable access to the work area and to any shutoffs, panels, or equipment we need to reach
  • provide accurate information about the property and the problem
  • allow us to pull any permit the work requires and to arrange access for a town inspector where an inspection is part of the job. And
  • tell us about known hazards, such as old wiring, gas issues, or asbestos, before work starts.

Keeping the work area clear and safe for our technician helps the job go smoothly and protects everyone on site.

Limitation of Liability

We perform our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by New Jersey law, we are not liable for pre-existing conditions in your plumbing or heating system, for problems we did not cause or were not hired to fix, or for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Warranties

Any workmanship terms for your job are provided in your written estimate or invoice. Equipment we install is covered by the manufacturer's warranty according to that maker's terms. Any additional guarantee applies only as agreed in writing on your invoice. Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, neglect, or work later performed by others.

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises that we cannot resolve directly, it will be handled in the state and federal courts located in New Jersey. We would always rather sort out a problem with a phone call first, so please contact us before taking any formal step.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version here and update the effective date shown below. Continuing to use the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
