What Kitchen & Bathroom Plumbing Covers

A dripping faucet, a toilet that runs all night, a garbage disposal that hums and quits. None of it is an emergency, and all of it is the plumbing that decides whether your day runs smoothly. Maccabi Plumbing & Heating handles kitchen and bathroom plumbing in NJ the way a licensed pro should. Cleanly, to code, and with an honest read on whether a fixture is worth repairing or replacing. We are a licensed NJ Master Plumber (#13345) serving homeowners and landlords across Essex, Passaic, Morris, Bergen, and Union counties.

The difference between a plumber and a handyman shows up a week later. When we swap a fixture in an older home, we replace the shut-off valve and supply line at the same time, because disturbing a decades-old angle stop usually makes it fail. Skip that step and you get a slow leak under the vanity right after the "repair." We do not skip it.

Kitchen and bathroom plumbing in NJ covers the everyday fixtures and the connections behind them. Faucets, toilets, sinks, shower valves, and garbage disposals, plus the shut-off valves, supply lines, and drain connections that make each one work. Maccabi is a licensed NJ Master Plumber (#13345) doing this work to code, watertight, and cleaned up when we leave.

These jobs seem small, and technically they are. But a wrong drain slope, an over-tightened compression fitting, or a supply line left on a corroded valve turns a quick fix into water damage. That is the reason to have a licensed plumber do it.

Where We Work

We serve northern New Jersey from our West Orange base, across Essex, Passaic, Morris, Bergen, and Union counties. Non-emergency kitchen and bathroom jobs are typically scheduled same-day or next-day, and we answer 24 hours Monday through Saturday if a fixture problem turns into a leak or a flood. We are closed Sunday.

Repair or Replace? The Old-Home Reality

The repair-or-replace answer depends almost entirely on the age of the fixture and whether its parts still exist. In pre-1950 northern-NJ bathrooms and kitchens, we routinely find original compression valves, seized shut-offs, and valves whose cartridges have been discontinued for years. The chrome-plated brass supply tubes and galvanized nipples in those homes corrode from the inside out, so a threaded joint that looks fine can crumble the moment a wrench touches it. On fixtures like that, a "repair" just delays the inevitable, and replacement is the better value.

This is also why the shut-off and supply line get replaced with the fixture in an old home. A forty-year-old angle stop was holding only because nothing had touched it. The moment you turn it to swap a faucet, the packing gives up and it weeps. Replacing it preventively costs a few dollars and saves you a call-back leak. Handymen leave the old valve in to save ten minutes. We would rather do it once.
